Prices for a couture hat hire range from R1500 to R3500.
Try and plan well ahead of your event and come to the Atelier to properly chose the hat or headpiece you wish to hire. Bring your outfit and Bettina will offer you her styling service and make sure you choose the hat that will suit you. These hats are couture pieces entirely made by hand and we highly recommend extra carefulness and care when hiring. If the hat is lost or damaged, the amount payable is the full value of the hat. The hirer will sign an agreement that will state the value to replace/repair the particular item if it is lost, stolen or damaged (including any dents, loss of decoration or water damage). Hire duration is for a maximum of three days.
If the hat is not returned within this period, the hirer may be charged for extra hire time. Subsequent days without notice will apply. If you need a hat longer than three days please discuss in advance with Bettina. Cancellation of a hat-hire must be made no less than one week before the event in order for a refund to be issued. Bettina Thomas Couture Hats will charge a R700 fee for any cancellation to cover the consultation cost which will be deducted from the hire sum. Any possible request to adapt a trimming will be charged, the sum of which will be discussed during consultation and will not be refunded in case of cancellation. Extra care should be taken when wearing a hat/headpiece in rainy weather. All hats must be kept under an umbrella at all times as all hats/headpieces are very vulnerable if subjected to rain and humidity. The hat hire fee is for one wear only. The hats must be returned in person and not via a third party unless previously discussed with Bettina. |
Payment is to be made at the time of booking.
A deposit is requested, of the same amount as the hiring price and will be fully refunded when the hat is returned in the exact state it was hired. All details below must be completed before the hat is released.
Account details will be required for the refund to be processed once the hat has been returned in perfect condition and within the time frame agreed. All hat boxes must be returned, if any damage occurs to a box an additional charge will be applied. In the unlikely event of loss, theft or full destruction of the hat, the hirer must refund the full value of the hat as stipulated in the signed agreement |
